The LEON-A Series is built in three models: the GPL11000 (1:1 phase) up to a maximum of 40 kVA, the GPL31000 (3:1 phase) up to 200 kVA, and the GPL33000 (3:3 phase) up to 500 kVA. The single-phase model is wired 3W (P+N+PE); the three-phase models are wired 5W (3P+N+PE).
The LEON-A supports VRLA, OPzV, OPzS, NiCad and AGM batteries, at 110 VDC, 220 VDC or 384 VDC. Charge settings are adjustable per chemistry: 2.23–2.35 VDC float and 2.40 VDC boost/equalize per cell for VRLA/OPzV/OPzS, and 1.42 VDC float with 1.47–1.7 VDC boost/equalize per cell for Ni-Cd. Charge current is 10–15% of battery capacity for VRLA/OPzV/OPzS and 20% for Ni-Cd, with a 0–20 hour adjustable boost charge timer.
Yes — input and output frequency can be 50 Hz, 60 Hz or 400 Hz (±10%). The datasheet states the 400 Hz option makes the unit suitable for marine and military applications.
The LEON-A operates from -10 to 50°C and can be stored from -25 to 70°C, at 0 to 95% relative humidity (non-condensing). Rated operating altitude is 1000 m from MSL, with a 1% derate for each 100 m above that.
Yes — up to 4 units can be run in parallel, configured either as dual redundant or for added capacity.
The three-phase LEON-A models can be specified with a 6-pulse or 12-pulse rectifier, while the single-phase GPL11000 uses a full-bridge rectifier. The datasheet quotes input THDu of 30% as standard, 12% with the 12-pulse rectifier and 5% with an input filter, and states that the 12-pulse topology reduces input THDi and increases input power factor.
