The CENTIEL StratusPower Series is a state-of-the-art modular three-phase UPS designed for the highest level of power availability in critical data center and infrastructure environments. Built on the Distributed Active Redundant Architecture (DARA™), it eliminates single points of failure to provide "9 nines" (99.9999999%) availability and fully fault-tolerant operation. The system achieves an industry-leading VFI efficiency of 97.6%, significantly reducing energy waste and supporting net-zero sustainability goals through a highly compact footprint. Its exceptional power density allows for up to 1,500 kW in a single cabinet, with parallel scalability reaching 3.75 MW for large-scale operations.

Our unique DCFlex© technology offers unparalleled flexibility when it comes to battery storage installation and configuration, as well as preparing the infrastructure to manage both current and future energy sources. Our UPS solution is compatible with various battery storage devices, allowing you to reuse the DC supply or to choose the option that best suits your needs and budget. The StratusPower battery charging current capability is 500 percent higher than our closest competitors, meaning faster charging times and more efficient use of your batteries.

Robust and reliable semiconductor technology

The StratusPower incorporates proprietary technology for inverter physical isolation in the event of an IGBT failure, ensuring maximum uptime for your critical infrastructure. The triple-mode parallel bus provides an extra layer of redundancy, eliminating any single point of failure in communication between frames and modules. At Centiel, we take reliability very seriously. That’s why we designed our technology with extra-safe power of 24%, ensuring a higher level of reliability and redundancy. With continuous operating capacity, each module can operate at 75 kW even under overload conditions. The 750 kW StratusPower UPS has the ability to operate in online mode, supporting loads up to 900 kW.

Predictive and remote health monitoring

With its computing capabilities and more than 100 measurement points, StratusPower does the work for you, ensuring that maintenance is performed promptly and accurately.This not only saves time and effort but also improves your system’s overall reliability and safety. Bluetooth connectivity allows technicians for easy, non-intrusive monitoring via mobile devices, with the Centiel app providing real-time status updates and alerts. StratusPower provides advanced cybersecurity features in compliance with IEC-4-62443-2, making certain that your critical data and systems are protected from cyber threats.

Exceeding performance expectations

With a THDi of less than 1 percent, StratusPower provides excellent performance that exceeds regulatory requirements. The UPS is able to handle 124% of continuous overload and 125% overload for 2 minutes, ensuring uninterrupted power delivery during times of peak demand. A short circuit capability above 3xIn safeguards your equipment and system integrity despite electrical faults.

What power range does the Centiel StratusPower modular UPS cover?

StratusPower is a modular three-phase UPS covering 10 kW to 3.75 MW. It uses SM10/SM20/SM25/SM30 modules rated 10/20/25/30 kW and SM50/SM62 modules rated 50/62.5 kW, with nominal power per frame from 60 kVA = kW up to 1500 kVA = kW and a maximum of 3750 kVA = kW per system.

What is DARA architecture in the Centiel StratusPower UPS?

DARA is Centiel's Distributed Active Redundant Architecture, the online double conversion topology used by StratusPower. Each UPS module is independent, redundant and interconnected, and is a complete UPS system in its own right with three independent power converters, a static bypass and all the hardware devices needed to safely isolate a fault without impacting the load. Its Distributed Decision Making technology (DDM) eliminates the single point of failure typically associated with master-slave technology.

How efficient is the StratusPower UPS in VFI double conversion mode?

The inverter efficiency is 97,6% and the bypass efficiency is 99,4%. Input distortion is THDi<0.8% for linear load and THDi<3% for nonlinear load, with an input power factor of 0,99 and an output power factor of 1.

What are the operating temperature and altitude limits of the Centiel StratusPower?

Operating temperature is 0-40°C with no power derating, storage temperature is -40-70°C and relative humidity is 0%-95% (No condensing). Maximum operating altitude is 1000 m; above 1000 m the unit derates 1% for each additional 100 m.

What communication interfaces does the StratusPower modular UPS provide?

The cabinets provide RS485, USB, Dry contacts, Ethernet and Bluetooth. The Universal Rack UPS connectivity board adds 5x dry output, 5x dry input, RS232, RS485, Bluetooth, Ethernet and a slot for SNMP, and Bluetooth allows technicians non-intrusive monitoring via mobile devices with the Centiel app.
