Marine Type Modular Frequency Converters
ENCLOVE Energy Marine Type PROTEUS Series Frequency Converter system allows power systems that require 60Hz or 400Hz power to be fed from 50Hz networks or systems that require 50Hz or 400Hz supply to be fed from 60Hz networks. In addition, it is also used to meet the different voltage standards required by the loads.

The Marine Type PROTEUS Frequency Converter system consists of one or more rectifier and inverter modules, which consist of power electronics components with a modular structure. The system has a double conversion structure and first converts the AC voltage to filtered DC voltage with the rectifier module, then the inverter module converts this filtered DC voltage to the AC frequency and voltage standard that the load needs.
PROTEUS Series can operate in parallel with different voltage sourcessuch as generators and other SFCs. Load sharing is done without the need for any communication, thanks to its programmable droop control feature.

Answers taken from the PROTEUS Series datasheet.
The PROTEUS Series covers 40kVA to 40MVA. The datasheet states that by parallel connection up to 40MVA can be supplied, and the output power factor is 0.9.
Yes. The datasheet lists "Bi-directional working due to four quadrant operation without any problem and feeding to the mains. Power can always flow to both directions." It can also operate in parallel with different voltage sources such as generators and other SFCs, and load sharing is done without the need for any communication thanks to its programmable droop control feature.
Yes — a separate 400Hz specification table gives an output of 400Hz ±%0.1 at 115VAC/440VAC ±%1 (3 PHASE), both noted as MIL-STD-1399 (Tip III) compliance for marine applications, at >93% efficiency. That model also lists MIL-STD-167-1 Standard Compliance / MIL-T-17221B & VDE530 Standard Compliance / MIL-STD-461E Compliance.
Operating temperature is 0 – 50°C and humidity is <95% without condensation. Temperature de-rating is 2% power loss per 1°C up to 50°C above 40°C, and operating altitude de-rating is 1% power loss for every 100m up to 2000m over 1000m. Ingress protection is IP20, up to IP55 optional.
The unit carries a 7 inch. Toucpanel with colour TFT, and the datasheet states all parameters are monitorable over the user friendly touch panel. A wide range of communication options is listed among the main features; the datasheet does not name the individual protocols.
General standards are ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, IEC62103 / EN50178; CE. Marine certificates are available on request (BV, DNV GL, ABS, RINA, CCS, LR).
